Celebrating International Women’s History Month

At Red Arrow Diner, These Women Mean Business
The New Hampshire Diner Celebrates International Women’s History Month

Red Arrow Diner is proud to be a New Hampshire staple since 1922. At the helm of the beloved diner is owner Carol Lawrence, who believes in hard work, good food and friendly service. With over 30 years of experience managing and marketing various restaurants (including her own), Carol deeply values her dedicated leadership team – many of whom happen to be women. In honor of International Women’s Day on March 8 and Women’s History Month, Red Arrow Diner would like to acknowledge the hard-working, strong and intelligent women behind the scenes of southern New Hampshire’s most historic culinary landmark.

Amanda Wihby, Chief Operations Officer: Amanda is responsible for reaching the highest profitability for the company while managing the monitoring of budgets and expenditures, including food and labor costs. She also works closely with all of Red Arrow Diners’ general managers to assure company policies and procedures are being met and manages the company’s human resources, payroll and marketing components. Since joining the Red Arrow Diner in 2010, Amanda has worked directly with the company owners to open two brand new locations in Londonderry and Concord. Due to her hard work and dedication, she has managed to increase business and profitability in all of the company’s current locations.

Lee Tansey, Account Controller: Lee joined Red Arrow Diner in 2008 as a part-time bookkeeper and was quickly promoted to full-time Account Controller due to her talent, diligence and the opening of the Red Arrow Diner Milford location which contributed to rapid company growth. In this role, Lee manages the financials and accounting for all four diner locations as well as downtown Manchester’s Midtown Café.

Jamie Lemay, District Manager: Jamie is responsible for maintaining consistency throughout each of the diner locations and works closely with general managers to assure company policies and procedures are being met. She also assists in monitoring the diners’ budgets and expenditures.

Carol Chumak and Heather Sasseville, General Managers: Carol and Heather are each responsible for managing the ordering of food and supplies, employee scheduling, ensuring the quality and presentation of products and maintaining a clean and well-managed diner that will provide a positive customer experience.

All of these women work extremely hard to ensure the day-to-day operations at Red Arrow Diner run smoothly. It goes without saying that they mean business!
