THE RED ARROW – FOUR LOCATIONS

This classic diner first opened its doors on Lowell Street in Manchester in October 1922, and at one time had six locations around the city. It closed briefly in the 1980’s, but came back under new owner Carol Lawrence [later with co-owners George Lawrence and Amanda Wihby] as fun and a little cheeky. Red Arrow fans include Adam Sandler, who has a dish named after him. Lawrence expanded locations to Nashua, Londonderry, and Concord, pioneered the characters of “Dinah” and “Moe,” and introduced a fun vibe with serenading first-timers. Red Arrow hasn’t forgot its local roots, with 5 cents from every cup of coffee going to the New Hampshire Food Bank.
